Disney+ Team Up With Fyrn For A “EDGEOFYØR Seat” Promotion

With Halloween season underway, Disney has announced details on a partnership with Fyrn for a “EDGEOFYØR Seat”, which has been crafted to complement this year’s Huluween on Disney+ lineup, this product leaves brave souls quite literally on the edge… with nowhere to hide from the scares on screen.

Fyrn, a design-and-build company that’s advancing the tradition of American furniture-making, crafted a satirical variation of its award-winning Mariposa chair. The solid wood EDGEOFYØR Seat is finished in Charcoal Black and paired with Fyrn’s patented brackets in Copper Bronze. With 80% of the product hacked away, the EDGEOFYØR Seat is the perfect complement to any Huluween scare-a-thon, creating a viewing experience a couch could never deliver.

David Charne, CEO/Co-founder at Fyrn, said in a statement:

“Fyrn has always been about craftsmanship and storytelling. Reimagining our Mariposa chair as the EDGEOFYØR Seat was a chance to apply our craft to a more playful brief.   It’s a limited-edition product, built with the same care and attention to detail that defines all of our work.   We’re excited to see it bring an extra layer of suspense to this year’s Huluween on Disney+”

From Halloween classics such as Scream, The Sixth Sense, Hocus Pocus, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas to a chilling mix of new programming, including The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, Marvel Zombies, The Man in My Basement, and Stay, Huluween on Disney+ for bundle subscribers has an exciting slate of tricks and treats for all viewers.

Roger’s Take:  I’m not gonna lie, I didn’t have a clue what this promotion was and was a little confused, until I saw a little note at the bottom of the Fyrn website, which states, “EDGEOFYØR Seat is a conceptual product, not a functional chair”.   This feels like some weird idea the PR department came up with and somehow someone signed up for it, spending money on this rather bizarre promotion, which would have made more sense on April Fools’ Day.
