Disney Reveals Release Dates For “Psycho Killer” & “Rental Family”

Disney has announced the theatrical release dates for two movies, “Rental Family” and “Psycho Killer”, which will be hitting screens this coming winter.

Searchlight Pictures’ “Rental Family” stars Brendan Fraser as a lonely, down-and-out American actor living in Tokyo. He starts working for a Japanese “rental family” company to play various stand-in roles in other people’s lives. Along the way, he forges some surprising human connections and discovers unexpected joys within his built-in family.

Filming recently wrapped in Japan, and the movie has been directed by Hikari and is based on a script by Stephen Blahut.

“Rental Family” is set to hit cinemas on November 21st 2025, and its theatrical release window, we should expect it to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ in early 2026.

20th Century Studios “Psycho Killer” tells the story of a police officer called Jane Thorne, who is played by Georgina Campbell, who makes it her mission to take down a serial killer referred to on the news as the ‘Satanic Slasher’, following the murder of her state trooper husband, who is played by Logan Miller.

“Psycho Killer” was written by Andrew Kevin Walker and directed by Gavin Polone.

The new movie is set to arrive in cinemas on February 20th 2026, so we shouldn’t expect to see it arrive on Hulu and Disney+ until halfway through the year.
