Disney Reveals Details On Upcoming “SuperKitties” Specials

Disney has announced details on a brand new full-length “SuperKitties” special called “The New SuperKitty”, which introduces a brand new character, Willa the Wildcat, as the newest member of the cat-tastic superhero team.

SuperKitties” is an adorable and action-packed series about five fierce and furry superhero kittens — Ginny, Sparks, Buddy, Bitsy and Willa — who are on a mission to make their town of Kittydale a more caring and “pawesome” place.

In the special, the SuperKitties invite Willa to officially join them on the team after putting her skills to the test when Cat Burglar (voiced by Justin Guarini) and the Glamsters (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Utkarsh Ambudkar) team up to take over Kittydale.

“The New SuperKitty” special premiered on the Disney Jr channel earlier today and will be coming to Disney+ on Friday, 7th August 2026.  It is also available to stream on Disney Jr. On Demand.

To go along with the new special being released, a new music video, “Ready to Su-Purr Roar”, has been released, and an extended version will also be available to stream on digital platforms from Friday, 7th August 2026.

“SuperKitties” is created by Emmy Award winner Paula Rosenthal (“Peter Rabbit”). Sarah Mullervy (“Peter Rabbit”), Kirk Van Wormer (“Transformers: Prime”) and Audu Paden (“Monster High”) are executive producers. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television – Kids in association with Disney Jr.

The series regular voice cast for Season 3 includes Emma Berman as Ginny, Cruz Flateau as Sparks, Landon Chase Dubois as Buddy, Pyper Braun as Bitsy and Thea Gallagher as Willa. Returning guest cast includes Justin Guarini as Cat Burglar, James Monroe Iglehart as Mr. Puppypaws, Ruth Pferdehirt as Lab Rat, Isabella Crovetti as Zsa Zsa, Pamela Adlon as Aunt Lola and Anika Noni Rose as Cousin Sassy.

Disney has also announced that two more full-length specials will be coming to Disney+ later this fall:

• “Howl-O-Ween Charm” – When the Howl-o-ween Cat’s charm is stolen, a group of Trixters escapes into Kittydale. The SuperKitties must put the Trixters back in the charm before their tricks ruin Howl-o-ween.

• “Friendsgiving Feast” – When the Glamsters steal treats and decorations around Kittydale, the SuperKitties and Willa race to save everyone’s Friendsgiving traditions. Jenifer Lewis and Henry Winkler guest star in the special as Evie’s glamorous grandma Glammy and Sam and Eddie’s Uncle Tony, respectively.

The previous seasons of “SuperKitties” are available to stream on Disney+.
