With the actor’s strike now over, Disney has been able to ramp up promotion on the upcoming animated film release, “Wish”, with filmmakers, voice cast members, special guests and fans taking part in promotion events from coast to coast.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Wish” is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Featuring the voices of Academy Award-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favourite goat, Valentino.
Recently, voice cast members Ariana DeBose and Chris Pine joined filmmakers Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck, Fawn Veerasunthorn, Peter Del Vecho and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones at a Walt Disney Animation Studios photocall.
Ariana DeBose also made a surprise appearance at Disneyland Resort last Saturday night, performing “This Wish” in front of the iconic SleepingBeauty’s Winter Castle at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California. “This Wish” is one of seven original songs penned by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels and Grammy-winning producer-songwriter-musician Benjamin Rice.

The stars of the film, Ariana DeBose, Chris Pine and Victor Garber also joined special guests to celebratetheepic musical comedy in New York City last night at a special screening at the Neuehouse Cinema. The star-studded special screening kicked off the one-week countdown to the feature film’s November 22nd release.
