This year’s nominees for this years Asia Contents Awards have been announced, and Disney has picked up nominations for many of its Disney+ Star Originals, including, “Big Bet”, “Gannibal”, “Shadow Detective”, and “Taiwan Crime Stories”, with “Moving” picking up multiple nominations including best Creative Award.

The awards categories are composed of 10 competitive awards, including Best Creative Award, Best Lead Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, and the newly added Best Reality & Variety Award. There are also seven non-competitive categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award and Rising Star of the Year.

The members of the jury said in a statement:

“In the process of narrowing down the field from over 200 submissions to around 30 finalists, it was challenging to exclude many outstanding works. This year, the influence of global OTT platforms like Netflix and Disney+ remained significant. We made careful efforts in the judging process to maintain a balance with the remarkable local contents from various Asian countries.”

“Moving” is a supernatural action series, children who live in hiding with superpowers, along with their parents who live with painful secrets of the past, face enormous dangers together.

“Shadow Detective” tells the story of Taekrok, who is an old detective near retirement, that receives a threatening call from an unknown man and is falsely charged with murder. The blackmailer calls himself a friend and suggests a game. He orders Taekrok to review the past cases he was in charge of. The old detective desperately recalls the past to find out who the blackmailer is and discover his intentions. Can Taekrok finish this thrilling game?
