This coming April, Disney+ subscribers are going to be getting plenty of new original films and shows to enjoy, including new episodes of “The Mandalorian” and a brand new Peter Pan film.

Here are some of the Disney+ Originals heading to the streaming service in April 2023:

The Mandalorian – Season 3

After the defeat of the Empire at the hands of Rebel forces, a lone bounty hunter operating in the Outer Rim, away from the dominion of the New Republic, goes on many surprising and risky adventures.

New episodes will be released every Wednesday in April.


Peter Pan And Wendy

“Peter Pan & Wendy” introduces Wendy Darling, a young girl afraid to leave her childhood home behind, who meets Peter Pan, a boy who refuses to grow up. Alongside her brothers and a tiny fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels with Peter to the magical world of Neverland. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever.

This original film arrives on Disney+ on Friday, 28th April 2023.


Rennervations

Behind the big screen, Renner is a construction veteran with a passion for purchasing and re-imagining huge vehicles with the help of his connections in the worldwide fabricator culture. With his best friend and business partner, Rory Millikin, and an all-star build crew, Renner travels the globe to reimagine decommissioned vehicles and rebuild them to serve a new purpose, such as turning a tour bus into a mobile music studio, a delivery truck into a mobile water treatment facility, a shuttle bus into a mobile recreation center, and a city bus into a mobile dance studio. Along the way, Renner teams up with actor and producer Anthony Mackie (Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’’), actress and entrepreneur Vanessa Hudgens (“Tick, Tick… Boom!”), actor and producer Anil Kapoor (“Mission Impossible,” “Slumdog Millionaire”) and singer and songwriter Sebastián Yatra (“Encanto”), who all share Renner’s enthusiasm and join him to deliver the finished vehicles to each organization.

The series takes Jeremy around the world from his hometown of Reno, Nevada to Chicago, Illinois, to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Rajasthan, India. In each location, Jeremy connects with leading organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, The BASE Chicago, Uva Jagriti Sansthan, and Casa Hogar of Cabo San Lucas to learn about the needs of the local communities. Jeremy and Rory meet with organization leaders to better understand the community’s most urgent needs, then they use what they learned to build something incredible that will have a big impact.

“Rennervations” arrives on Disney+ on April 12th 2023


The Crossover

Based on the critically-acclaimed best-selling novel in-verse by Kwame Alexander, “The Crossover” introduces teen brothers Josh and Jordan Bell, widely considered basketball phenoms. Through his lyrical poetry, an adult version of Josh, aka Filthy McNasty, narrates the story of he and his brother’s coming of age, on and off the court, as their former professional basketball player father adjusts to life after basketball, and their mother finally pursues lifelong dreams of her own.

This new series will be released on Disney+ on Wednesday, 5th April 2023.


Secrets of the Elephants

Elephants are powerful, loving and wise, but we are only starting to unlock their deepest secrets. The ground-breaking, award-winning natural history franchise “Secrets of” returns with its next installment, “Secrets of the Elephants.” From Academy Award-winning filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer-at-Large James Cameron, the series travels the world —from the Savannahs of Africa to the urban landscapes of Asia —to discover the strategic thinking, complex emotions and sophisticated language of elephants, shaping a unique and dynamic culture. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman and featuring renowned National Geographic Explorer and elephant expert Dr. Paula Kahumbu, the four-part series not only reveals the extraordinary lives of different families of elephants but also highlights how similar they are to us. “Secrets of the Elephants” will change everything you thought you knew about elephants forever

This new documentary series arrives on Disney+ on Earth Day – Saturday, 22nd April 2023.


It’s All Right!

This is the story of Pedro, a young Law student who dreams of becoming a music star. Pedro meets Ana by chance. With her by his side, the road to success seems possible, but soon Pedro is faced with a choice between going after his dream of becoming successful or having a life full of music and good vibes with Ana.

This new series will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 12th April 2023.


Journey to the Center of the Earth

Diego is sent by his parents to a camp run by Pompilio Calderón. There, together with his siblings and friends, he finds the abandoned car of his grandmother Pola, and following her footsteps, he arrives to a mysterious portal leading to another dimension. When Diego discovers a powerful family secret, he understands he must protect the dimension he has found, but his mission is not that simple – Pompilio and his henchman Claudio will do everything in their power to destroy this fantastic world they have encountered.

“Journey to the Center of the Earth” is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 5th April 2023.


 

There are also some new originals heading to Disney+ internationally, which will be released on Hulu in the US.


The Good Mothers

“The Good Mothers” is a multi-layered narrative that follows the shocking true story of three women who were born into the deadliest of the Italian Mafia clans, and how they worked with a courageous female prosecutor to bring it down from the inside. The women must fight their own families for the right to survive and build a new future for their children.

This new Italian series arrives on Disney+ on April 5th.


Tiny Beautiful Things

Based on the best-selling collection by Cheryl Strayed, “Tiny Beautiful Things” follows Clare (Kathryn Hahn), a floundering writer who becomes a revered advice columnist while her own life is falling apart.

When we first meet Clare, her marriage to her husband Danny is barely limping along; her teenage daughter, Rae, is pushing her away; and her once-promising writing career is non-existent. So when an old writing pal asks her to take over as the advice columnist Dear Sugar, she thinks she has no business giving anyone advice. After reluctantly taking on the mantle of Sugar however, Clare’s life unfurls in a complex fabric of memory, exploring her most pivotal moments from childhood through present day, and excavating the beauty, struggle, and humor in her unhealed wounds. Matildas: The World at Our Feet

“Matildas: The World at Our Feet” is an inspirational and intimate behind-the-scenes story of the CommBank Matildas – Australia’s women’s national football team. Following the stories of players including global superstar Sam Kerr, Ellie Carpenter, Mary Fowler and more, the Matildas reveal the sacrifices they’ve made and struggles they’ve endured as they strive to become the best in the world’s most popular sport.

Despite all their hardships, one goal follows them throughout – to leave a lasting legacy that empowers and inspires future generations to pursue their dreams. Across six episodes, join the players on and off the field as they work towards their biggest challenge yet – the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on home soil.

Matildas: The World at Our Feet” arrives on Disney+ around the world on April 26th 2023.


Sam – A Saxon

“Sam – A Saxon” is a German Original series. It tells the incredible, true story of Samuel Meffire, the first black policeman in East Germany. This is a gripping series that follows Sam’s irrepressible search for his place in an intensely prejudiced society. In his fight to overcome the system, he becomes the face of an anti-racism campaign and a symbol of a new Germany. However, his meteoric rise to fame is quickly followed by an abrupt downfall as he ends up behind bars with German tabloids branding him “public enemy #1”.

This new German original series arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday, 26th April 2023


Saint X

“Saint X” is a psychological drama, told via multiple timelines and perspectives, which explores and upends the girl-gone-missing genre. It’s a series about how a young woman’s mysterious death during an idyllic Caribbean vacation creates a traumatic ripple effect that eventually pulls her surviving sister into a dangerous pursuit of the truth.

This new series arrives on Disney+ in many countries including Canada on Wednesday 26th April 2023.
