Details on the upcoming Marvel Studios Disney+ series, “Hawkeye“, have been revealed by “The Hollywood Reporter.

Much like Star Wars: The Mandalorian, the new Marvel series will be directed by a number of different people. Multiple episodes will be led by the duo “Bert and Bertie”, Amber Finlayson (Bert) and Katie Ellwood (Bertie). The team has previously directed the Amazon series, Troop Zero, and Showtime’s Kidding.

Other episodes will be directed by Rhys Thomas, who has worked on Saturday Night Live, Staten Island Summer, Comrade Detective, and John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch.

The choice of directors is also hinting that the upcoming “Hawkeye” series will feature comedy aspects.

Jeremy Renner will be returning as Hawkeye aka Clint Barton, with the story set to tell the story of him training Kate Bishop, who will become the new Hawkeye.

Filming is due to begin in September, though things may change with the current COVID situation. “Hawkeye” is due to arrive on Disney in Fall 2021.
