Disney Lorcana Reveals Details On “Wilds Unknown” Pixar Expansion
Later this year, Ravensburger will be introducing Pixar characters into the popular Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game, with the next instalment called “Wilds Unknown”.
This new set will see glimmers of Disney and Pixar characters find themselves cast to far-off areas, including the Wilderknot, the Great Empty Sea, and Torchlight Peaks. There, players will encounter glimmers from Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story”, “Brave”, and “The Incredibles” joining the Disney Lorcana TCG for the first time. All of these films are also available to stream on Disney+.
Wilds Unknown is available for pre-release on May 8th, 2026, in game stores and select Disney Parks and stores. The set will be available everywhere a week later, on May 15th 2026.
Elaine Chase, Head of Category for Trading Card Games at Ravensburger, said in a statement on the new release:
“The addition of glimmers of characters from Pixar films is one of the most exciting moments in the ongoing story of the Disney Lorcana TCG. Everyone has fond memories of growing up with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the toys, reliving the adventures of the Parr family, joining forces against the Omnidroids, and watching as Merida embarks on a journey where she forges her own path. Now fans can have fun collecting those cards and create decks to play together with family and friends.”
Each Disney Lorcana TCG set features full-art cards known as Enchanted cards. Among the rarer cards for players and collectors to find, these Enchanted cards always feature art themed to the set. For Wilds Unknown, Ravensburger has revealed these cards will feature an Art Nouveau-inspired art style dubbed Lore Nouveau, which captures the feeling of discovering new areas in the realm of Lorcana. This art style is also depicted in the rarest cards of the set, known as Iconics, which also feature full-art and additional foil treatments. Merida – Formidable Archer and Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger are the two Iconic cards in Wilds Unknown.

The team at Ravensburger worked closely alongside product designers at Pixar Animation Studios to bring Pixar characters to life for Lorcana, including: Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger, incorporating narrative, design, and new art
Later this year, the next set to be released will be Attack of the Vine! This new set will be available for prerelease at game stores on July 17th, 2026 and will be available everywhere on July 24th 2026. Glimmers of Pixar’s Boo, Mike Wazowski, and James P. Sullivan, aka Sulley, from “Monsters, Inc”. will make their debut appearance in the set, as Illumineers, and must team up to stop a monstrous vine growing out of control.
The story arc will reach its peak this fall in a new product called Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue. As with previous Illumineer’s Quests, players will team up to weed out the threat in this cooperative Disney Lorcana TCG experience. Fans can expect surprises and tons of replayability with four difficulty levels to ramp up the challenge. This all-in-one package contains expertly crafted components and curated decks designed to work together against the vine. Illumineer’s Quest: The Great Hunny Rescue releases in October 2026 and has an MSRP of $59.99.
On the heels of the Attack of the Vine!, Ravensburger revealed the Q4 2026 set features glimmers from Pixar’s “Coco” and takes place in a fantastical metropolis called Hyperia City. And in early 2027, quests of yore are in store for more lore in Disney Lorcana TCG from Ravensburger.
For the first time, Ravensburger is also going to be introducing a new promo box for Wilds Unknown, which will be available in game stores from May 8th 2026. Each box contains six booster packs, one of six random promo cards, and more goodies showing off the story and theme.
