Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from July 8th, 2024, to July 14th. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

The biggest new release from Disney on the Nielsen charts was “Descendants: The Rise Of Red”, which was the fifth most watched film across every streaming service during this week, and it’ll be interesting if that rises higher next week, since it had only been out a couple of days during the week registers.

The latest season of “The Bear” on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ slipped slightly on the original chart, while Max’s biggest original series, “House Of The Dragon”, topped both the Overall and Acquired chart.

Disney continues to dominate the acquired chart, with half of the shows such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Family Guy”, “Bob’s Burgers”, and “Criminal Minds” on the chart available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. This also impacts the overall chart, as half of the shows are available on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.

Once again, the biggest new original show on Disney+, “The Acolyte”, failed to get enough viewership to make the originals chart, which is alarming for the Star Wars franchise and shows how this series has failed to draw audiences in the US.

Pixar’s “Inside Out” also continues to attract audiences, as the boost from “Inside Out 2” spills over onto Disney+.  “Bluey” continues to be a massive hit for Disney+, and Hulu continues to do well in the overall and acquired charts.
