With Taylor Swift fever taking over the world, Disney is getting in on the action with an upcoming episode of “Dancing With The Stars.”   During a recent interview with Billboard, one of the show’s pro-dancers, Peta Murgatroyd, revealed that one of this season’s episodes is going to be themed around Taylor Swift and feature Taylor Swift songs.

“We will be having a Taylor Swift week here.  Am I allowed to say that?”

Unfortunately, we don’t know precisely when the Taylor Swift-themed week will happen.   The long-running competition show regularly has themed nights, like movies or musicals, in addition to focusing on the music from one specific artist.  Last year, “Dancing With The Stars” had a Michale Buble night and even a Disney+ themed night, since the show was streaming exclusively on Disney+ for the first time.

This isn’t the first time a Taylor Swift-themed night has been teased, as on a recent episode of “The Nikki & Brie Show”, pro-dancer Artem Chigvintsev hinted that his celebrity dance partner for this year, Charity Lawson, had requested to dance to a Taylor Swift song, but was denied.  And if the show is planning on doing a Taylor Swift-themed night, it would make sense why the producers would have rejected the request, in order to keep all the songs for that event.  Taylor Swift has appeared on the show. Back in 2010, she performed on the show and sang “Mine”.

“Dancing with the Stars” is the hit series hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough in which celebrities are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts, including Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough. The show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.

This week’s theme for “Dancing With The Stars” was Latin music, and saw Jamie Lynn Spears eliminated from the competition. Next week’s theme will be “Motown Night”, which you can watch live on ABC and Disney+ on at 8 pm ET, with episodes available the next day on Hulu. You can also catch Taylor Swift’s own Disney+ Original special, “Folklore” on Disney+ now.
