Disney has announced that at the upcoming D23 Expo, there will be a special panel for the upcoming Disney+ Original series, “The Santa Clauses”.

In the new Disney+ series, Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.

The panel will be taking place from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm PT on the Premiere Stage on Saturday 10th September 2022 at the D23 Expo in the Anaheim Convention Center.

According to the official description, guests attending will be able to join The Santa Clauses cast and creatives for a lively chat.

The series will also be starring Elizabeth Allen-Dick, Laura San Giacomo, Devin Bright, Austin Kane, Matilda Lawler, Rupali Redd, David Krumholtz and Kal Penn.

Award-winning Jack Burditt (“30 Rock,” “Modern Family,” “Frasier,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) is the executive producer and showrunner, and Kevin Hench (“Last Man Standing”), Richard Baker and Rick Messina will also serve as executive producers. Tim Allen is also an executive producer on the series.

Disney Branded Television is also hosting a major panel in Hall D23, on Saturday afternoon called “Disney’s Epic Entertainment Showcase: The Musical: The Extravaganza!”, which will be an exclusive showcase that highlights a legacy of excellence in storytelling and includes talent appearances, performances, and never-before-seen previews of original content for Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior.  So it’s possible a first look at the show might also be revealed there.

No official release date has yet been confirmed for “The Santa Clauses”, but this panel at the D23 Expo, will no doubt be a good place to reveal it.

All three previous “Santa Clause” films are available to stream on Disney+.
