Clayne Crawford, Xavier Mills, Colton Ryan & Toby Huss To Star In Hulu’s “Chad Powers”
20th Television is developing a brand new half-hour comedy series called “Chad Powers”, which comes from co-creators and executive producers Glen Powell and Michael Waldron.
The series tells the story of what happens when bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.
The upcoming series stars Glen Powell, who is also co-creating, co-writing, and executive producing under his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions. Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Steve Zahn will also star in the series.
Deadline has revealed some more casting details on the upcoming original series. Clayne Crawford (The Finestkind), Xavier Mills (Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire), Colton Ryan (Poker Face) and Toby Huss (Fatal Attraction) have joined the cast.
“Chad Powers” is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series. The series is now currently in production and will stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. It’s likely this new series will also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally, though no details have yet been confirmed.
Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot. Eli Manning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions’ Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will executive produce and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer.
