Disney has announced that the documentary film, “Christmas with Walt Disney” is going to be coming to Disney+ in the United States on Friday 24th November 2023.

“Christmas With Walt” features home movies of the Disney family at holiday time, along with holiday segments from Walt’s shorts and feature films as Walt’s daughter, Diane, shares her Christmas memories alongside Disney family home movies, holiday segments classic Disney films, and vintage Disneyland footage.

During the end credits for the film, there is a chance to see Christmas cards from the The Walt Disney Studios from Walt’s time. The documentary also features a clips from “One Hour in Wonderland”, “Lady and the Tramp”, “Babes in Toyland”, “Swiss Family Robinson”, and more.

This documentary film was originally created for the Walt Disney Family Museum, which can be found in San Francisco. The film has been shown seasonally at the muesum since 2009. It was directed by Don Hahn, who has worked as a producer on many of Disney’s biggest hits including “Beauty And The Beast”, and “The Lion King”. Recently, he directed the documentary, “Howard”, which took a look at the life of songwriter Howard Ashman, which can be watched on Disney+ now.

Unfortunately, its currently unknown if the documentary will get a wider release on Disney+ around the world, hopefully it will do, but as of yet, it’s only been revealed for the US.
