Disney’s FX is currently developing the second instalment of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series, “Feud”, which is going to be called “Feud: Capote’s Women” and is based on Laurence Leamer’s bestselling book “Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era. It chronicles the tale of the famous wunderkind author as he stabs several of his female friends — whom he called his “swans.”

The series is going to star Naomi Watts as Babe Paley, who ruled the glamorous world of New York society in the 1960s and 70s. Also starring in the series will be Chloë Sevigny, Treat Williams, Ella Beatty, Tom Hollander, Demi Moore, Diane Lane, Molly Ringwald, and Calista Flockhart.

During a recent appearance on Deadline‘s podcast 20 Questions, Chris Chalk revealed that he has joined the cast of the new FX series and will be playing the role of James Baldwin.

“I’ve always wanted to play him,”

He added that the set was “such a supportive environment, like mind-blowingly supportive,”

“We shot 20 pages in two days. I got the script and was like, ‘That’s a lot of words.’ I had a little mini panic attack… but it was amazing. Then there was a five-page monologue.”

Chris Chalk has previously starred in HBO’s “Perry Mason”, along with “Gotham”, “Homeland”, and “12 Years a Slave “.

Two-time Oscar nominee Gus Van Sant will direct all eight episodes of this series. With Tony and Pulitzer-nominated Jon Robin Baitz writing all episodes and he will also be serving as showrunner for the FX series. They will also both be executive producing the series.

“Feud: Capote’s Women” is also being executive produced by Ryan Murphy, Naomi Watts, Plan B’s Dede Gardner, Tim Minear, and Alexis Martin Woodall. The stars of the first season of “Feud”, Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, will also be executive producers on the second season.

We should expect to see “Feud: Capote’s Women” released next year on FX and Hulu in the United States, and as a Star Original on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ internationally.
