Cast Revealed For Disney+ Original “Gangnam B-Side”
Disney has announced some new cast details for the upcoming Korean Original series, “Gangnam B-Side”, which will be coming to Disney+ around the world in the second half of 2024. As with most Star Original series, expect to also see this show released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.
This new crime drama, “Gangnam B-Side”, follows a pariah detective pulled back into the game after his daughter’s friend goes missing. The latest in a long line of women to go missing in the Gangnam area of Seoul, the detective will delve back into a world of vice, drugs and corruption to uncover something that threatens to topple some of the city’s wealthiest elite.
Jo Woo-jin will be playing the role of Detective Kang Dong-woo, an elite former police officer who was suddenly demoted. With a personality that doesn’t hesitate to push through obstacles when he becomes fixated on something. Jo Woo-jin has previously starred in “Money”, “Happiness” and “Seo Bok”.
While Ji Chang-wook will take on the role of Yoon Gil-ho, a mysterious broker who holds control over Gangnam, having survived by living in the darkest corners of the flashy city, he has led a grassroots life. Ji Chang-wook has previously starred in “Suspicious Partner”, and the Dinsey+ Original series, “The Worst Of Evil”
And Ha Yoon-kyung, will play a prosecutor called Min Seo-jin. Originating from a national university, she has strived straight ahead in the Prosecutor’s Office with no connections, aiming for promotion. Ha Yoon-kyung has previously starred in “Hospital Playlist” and “See you In My 19th Life”.
This brand new series is going to be directed by Park Noo-ri, who has previously directed “Money” and has also worked on “Man In Love”, “The Berlin File” and “The Unjust”.
