Disney has a long history of working with musicians on a repetitive basis. They work together and form bonds that lead to these actors later being recognized as Disney legends. One of the most iconic Disney collaborations is with the Sherman brothers, Robert and Richard Sherman. The pair wrote some of the most famous songs in the Disney canon. And there work can also be heard at the Disney parks. Let’s take a look back at some of the great films and series on Disney+ featuring music from Disney legends, Robert and Richard Sherman.

Those are some of the many films for which the Sherman Brothers wrote some, or all, of the music that are available on Disney+. Unfortunately, Robert Sherman passed away in 2012, so some of the later ones were helmed by Richard Sherman, although he has admitted to using some songs he and Robert had worked on together for those films. There are also some films like “Mary Poppins Returns” that features songs and arrangements that were in, or at least written for, “Mary Poppins.” These two are deserving Disney legends with a wonderful filmography on Disney+.
