The upcoming third film in the franchise is called “Avatar: Fire and Ash” and James confirmed that the film is currently in post-production.

The upcoming film will take audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and the Sully family.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash”  also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, Jack Champion, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss and Bailey Bass.

During the panel, some new concept art from the film was shown to audiences and shared with the world.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” opens exclusively in theaters around the world on December 19th, 2025 and it will be coming to Disney+ in 2026. While we wait for the new film, both “Avatar” and “Avatar: The Way Of Water” are available to stream on Disney+.
