One of the Marvel Studios Disney+ series is currently in post-production is “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, which will see Kathryn Hahn returning as the evil witch, Agatha Harkness, who was introduced in the Disney+ series, “WandaVision”.

The new Disney+ series will also star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Maria Dizzia. Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield are also returning for “Agatha: Coven of Chaos,” who are returning to the roles they played in the “WandaVision” Disney+ series. Other actors returning from “WandaVision” include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes.

According to Mashable,  Aubrey Plaza’s character has been revealed; where she will be playing Rio Vidal, a new character created specifically for the series.   With the character being created for the new show, it’s being speculated by fans that she could become the first Green Witch, within the MCU and maybe possibly an ex-lover of Agatha, though it’s important to note that Marvel has officially confirmed nothing, and we are unlikely to know until the show comes out, which is expected in 2024.

Earlier this year, Aubrey Plaza revealed how much she has loved her character in the show:

“‘Coven of Chaos’ was so fun. I wanted very much to work with Kathryn Hahn, I think she’s so great. And without saying anything really, I had a blast. I loved my character in that as well, and I think it’s the most elevated Marvel material that’s out there. So, it was cool to jump into that world with those people specifically.”

“Agatha: Coven of Chaos” was written by Megan McDonnell, Peter Cameron, Laura Donney, and Cameron Squires. “WandaVision” creator and exec producer Jac Schaeffer is also the showrunner on Disney+ original series and has also directed some of the episodes. Gandja Monteiro has also directed on the show.
