Just ahead of the world premiere of the upcoming Searchlight Pictures film, “Nightbitch”, which takes place this weekend in Toronto, it’s been revealed that Amy Adams has signed a new contract with 20th Century Studios for a new comedy film.

Amy Adams, who has previously starred in “Man Of Steel” and “Enchanted”, will produce and star in “Lazy Susans”, which is about a group of moms who form a rock band.

The story has been inspired by the story of The Lazy Susans, a real group out of Boston, who came together during the pandemic.

“Lazy Susans” doesn’t yet have a director attached and its going to be produced by TEG+, Vivek J. Tiwary and Jack Leslie got the ball rolling on the project when they optioned the Boston Magazine article “For Those Moms About to Rock.”

According to Deadline, the film is going to be written by Oscar nominees Annie Mumolo (Bridesmaids) and Stan Chervin (Moneyball).

No other details for this movie have been revealed, such as when it might go into production or when it might be released, either in cinemas or directly onto Disney+/Hulu.
