At today’s Disney’s Destination D23 event in Orlando, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that from next Spring, the popular Star Tours attraction at Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will be getting a new upgrade to feature Ahsoka, from the new Disney+ series.

“Star Tours” lets Rebels of all ages board a Starspeeder 1000 and take off on a thrilling 3D voyage to stunning star systems and war-torn worlds, from Jakku and Hoth to Tatooine and even the dreaded Death Star.  The attraction is loaded with state-of-the-art technology and over 60 mission combinations. This is an experience sure to thrill the most devout Jedi in the galaxy.  Guests never know exactly what mission they get when they ride and so adding in new “Ahsoka” themed missions will freshen up the attraction and promote the new Disney

No other details have been announced for this upgrade, but expect to find out more details next year.

The new Disney+ series is set after the fall of the Empire, “Star Wars: Ahsoka” follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.  The show stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.   The first half of the “Ahsoka” series is available to stream now on Disney+, and a new episode is being released weekly.
