ABC Picks Up New Comedy Series “Sisters-In-Law”
Disney’s ABC has picked up a brand new mulit-camera half-hour comedy series called “Sisters-In-Law”, which is about two sisters-in-law who are struggling to get along and finally bond together when they are faced with a common enemy: a new third sister-in-law.
The upcoming series is going to be created by executive producers Sherry Bilsing Graham and Ellen Kreamer, who have previously worked on “The New Adventures Of Old Christine”.
This new series is being created by A+E Studios, who are behind shows like ABC’s “Big Sky” and Netflix’s “The Lincoln Lawyer”. This will be the first comedy series from the studio, which is co-owned by Hearst and Disney.
Barry Jossen and Tana Nugent Jamieson will also be executive producers on the project.
According to Deadline, ABC was able to get the rights to the series, which CBS and NBC were also trying to get the rights to.
No other details on the upcoming series have been revealed, such as who will star in the project or when or where it will be released. Expect to see the show released on the ABC channel, along with Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the US. Hopefully, it’ll also be released as a Star Original on Disney+ around the world.
