Disney’s ABC News Studios has announced four brand-new series, “The Ashley Madison Affair,” “Betrayal: The Perfect Husband,” “Mother Undercover”, and “Demons and Saviors”, which will be coming out this summer on Hulu.  No international release has yet been announced for Disney+, but most ABC News Studios series has eventually been released globally as Star Originals.

“The Ashley Madison Affair” will be premiering on Friday, 7th July 2023, and explores the dating platform Ashley Madison and it’s marketing tactics to recruit members to partake in extramarital affairs. As the platform gained attention, a group of hackers known as The Impact Team hacked into the site and caused a catastrophic data breach. Jeremy Dear, Fred Hepburn, David Sloan and Beth Hoppe serve as executive producers.  The series is produced by Wall to Wall Media and ABC News Studios. Jeremy Dear and Fred Hepburn are executive producers for Wall to Wall Media. For ABC News Studios, David Sloan is the senior executive producer, and Beth Hoppe is the executive producer.

“Betrayal: The Perfect Husband” premieres on Tuesday, 11th July and is based on the “Betrayal” podcast. The upcoming docuseries will chronicle how one woman discovered that her husband, high school teacher Spencer Herron, was conducting a series of sexual assaults and improprieties amongst his teenage students. Sloan, Hirsch and Nancy Glass all serve as executive producers, alongside senior producer Wendy Krantz and senior editorial producer Eileen Murphy.  The series is produced by Glass Entertainment and ABC News Studios. Nancy Glass and Jon Hirsch are executive producers for Glass Entertainment. For ABC News Studios, David Sloan is the senior executive producer, Wendy Krantz is senior producer, and Eileen Murphy is senior editorial producer. “Betrayal,” the podcast, is produced by Glass Podcasts in partnership with iHeartPodcasts.

“Mother Undercover” is a four-part series that follows four mothers who go to extreme lengths to save and protect their children from murder, international kidnapping, mass suicide and judicial corruption. The four episodes will reveal how each mother took matters into their own hands and organized covert operations. Sloan, Hoppe, Thomas Viner and Rachel Morgan all serve as executive producers.   The new series will be released on Thursday, 27th July 2023 and is produced by Pioneer Productions and ABC News Studios. Thomas Viner and Rachel Morgan are executive producers for Pioneer Productions. For ABC News Studios, David Sloan is the senior executive producer, and Beth Hoppe is the executive producer.

“Demons and Saviors” is the story of Christina Boyer, who murdered her 3-year-old daughter after proclaiming she had telekinetic abilities. Despite her 30-year prison sentence, Boyer, also known as the “poltergeist girl,” still asserts her innocence to this day. “Demons and Saviors” follows a group of amateur detectives who believe Boyer is innocent and investigate the conspiracy behind her case. Sloan, Alex Waterfield, Tim Clancy, Jackie Jesko and Nick Capote all serve as executive producers. “Demons and Saviors” arrives on Thursday, 3rd August 2023 and is produced by Latchkey Films and ABC News Studios. For Latchkey Films, Alex Waterfield is the series director and executive producer, and Tim Clancy, Jackie Jesko and Nick Capote are executive producers. For ABC News Studios, David Sloan is the senior executive producer, and Muriel Pearson is executive producer.
