Disney has announced that the Searchlight Pictures movie “A Real Pain” will soon be available on home video, including Digital retails such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, on December 31st, 2024, and on Blu-Ray on February 4th, 2025.

With its distinct style of storytelling, Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin give moving performances in A Real Pain, a thought-provoking emotional journey about complex relationships set against the scenic backdrop of Poland.

The film tells the story of two mismatched cousins, David and Benji, who reunite for a tour through Poland to honour their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pair’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

No streaming release date has been announced, but going off previous theatrical to home video release schedules, Disney tends to release on Hulu and Disney+ around the same time as the movie comes out on physical media.

A Real Pain has been nominated for 4 Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor Jesse Eisenberg, Best Supporting Actor Kieran Culkin and Best Screenplay. The film won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

The home video/physical media version will also include a bonus featurette called Beautiful Fate: Making A Real Pain, which takes viewers on tour through the heart and history of Poland while going behind the scenes of A Real Pain. Explore the themes of family and connection with Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin. Experience all the humour and humanity that brought this story to life.
