Logan & Jake Paul Creating New Fighting Show For Hulu & ESPN
After successfully mastering YouTube, along with the boxing and wrestling rings, Jake and Logan Paul are getting ready to jump into the streaming world with a brand new competition series for Hulu and ESPN.
This is a ruthless competition series where eliminations are not settled by a vote. They are settled by a fight. Split into rival teams and coached by two rival brothers, the fighters live and train together in the wild. But the battle begins before the fight, because the fighters choose the matchups, turning every alliance and every rivalry into a strategic weapon. Jake and Logan send the losers of each fight home until one man and one woman are left standing.
The show will feature fights in a variety of styles, including mixed martial arts, Boxing, Wrestling, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and Karate.
Jake originally broke out on the Disney Channel show, “Bizzardvark”, before moving into the boxing business, where he even faced Mike Tyson. His brother Logan also has a boxing background before shifting to the WWE, where he has performed for years and won both the US and Tag Team titles.
Executive Producers are Brent Montgomery, Glenn Hugill and Courtney White from Wheelhouse, Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul from Most Valuable Promotions, along with Logan Paul, Will Nothacker, Shyam Balse, Josie Lamberth and Charlie Ebersol.
The Paul brothers said in a statement regarding the new show:
“This series takes everything we love about competitive combat and turns it into a high-stakes survival spectacle for today’s audiences. You choose your opponent, fight to stay, and have nowhere to hide. The fighter-first mentality is changing the industry; we can’t wait to see who has what it takes”.
With Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, adding:
“This project is the latest step forward for MVP as we continue to disrupt sports and entertainment with high-impact, innovative opportunities that define the future of combat sports. “We’ve always believed there is a major, untapped market to bring new audiences into combat sports by telling compelling stories around the athletes, and this format takes that idea to another level.”
Brent Montgomery, Executive Producer and Wheelhouse CEO, also said:
“Wheelhouse was created for moments like this, bringing a high concept to life with massive stars who create bold new content, unmistakably their own, that connects authentically with their fans. With Disney, MVP and the Paul brothers, we are well equipped to build out singular IP that can live across multiple platforms, and beyond the screen.”
Production on the show is set to begin in 2027; however, no other details on the show have been revealed, such as when we should expect to see the show released on ESPN and Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. It’s also likely we will see it released on Disney+ internationally.
Roger’s Take: Disney has been continuing to build out its reality lineup for Hulu, with “The Kardashians” and “The Secret Lives Of Mormon Lives”, but this show will appeal to a very different demographic that will likely do well due to the ESPN connection. Both Logan and Jake have enormous social media followings, so they will no doubt be able to pull in plenty of interest in this show.
