More Cast Revealed For “Chad Powers” Season 2
One of the biggest hits of 2025 was “Chad Powers”, a comedy series starring Glen Powell that is based on the “Eli’s Places” segment from ESPN and Omaha Productions, where Eli Manning disguised himself in prosthetics to participate in a walk-on tryout at Penn State.
The first season is set eight years after an unforgivable mistake nukes his promising college football career, hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday tries to resurrect his dreams by disguising himself as Chad Powers, a talented oddball who walks on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish.
Season one also stars Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny and Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson.
Some new cast details for the second season have been revealed by Deadline, which will see Colin Woodell (Pulse), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Carey O’Donnell and Nate Varrone (The Bear) join the cast as guest stars.
Colin Woodell will play the role of Jay, a charming, handsome and wealthy Catfish alum. Tricia (Wynn Everett) brings him to a Catfish game to try to recruit him as a booster.
While Gillian Jacobs will play the role of Jerri Dougan, sister to Gerry (Colton Ryan). She is a Catfish fanatic who believes Powers taking her brother’s QB job is a conspiracy.
Carey O’Donnell is going to play Mr Brent, the head of USG cheerleading, and Nate Varrone is playing Dustin, a guy who lives at the purported West Virginia residence of “Chad Powers” and is unwittingly dragged into the lie.
Hulu’s half-hour comedy “Chad Powers” hails from co-creators Glen Powell and Michael Waldron. Season one executive producers include Glen Powell, Michael Waldron, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart, Kati Fernandez, Adam Fasullo, Luvh Rakhe, and Tony Yacenda. The series is produced by 20th Television.
Season one of “Chad Powers” is available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US and on Disney+ internationally.
