First Look At Searchlight Pictures’ “In The Blink Of An Eye”

Disney has released some first-look images from an upcoming original film from Searchlight Pictures called “In The Blink Of An Eye”, which will be coming to Hulu and Disney+ alter this year.

The film tells three storylines, spanning thousands of years, that intersect and reflect on hope, connection, and the circle of life.

A Neanderthal family, displaced from their home, struggles to survive, protect the children, and use primitive tools. In the present day, Claire, a driven post-grad anthropologist studying ancient proto-human remains, begins a relationship with a fellow student, Greg.

And two centuries later, on a spaceship bound for a distant planet, Coakley and a sentient onboard computer confront a disease afflicting the ship’s oxygen-producing plants. The artful, poetic way the film’s storylines intersect creates a profound, philosophical meditation on how we experience love, loss (of parents and children), mortality and the need for connection — with each other, the natural world, and technology — regardless of our time.

This new film stars Rashida Jones, Kate McKinnon, Daveed Diggs, Jorge Vargas, and Tanaya Beatty.  It has been written by Colby Day, produced by Jared Ian Goldman and directed by Andrew Stanton

“In The Blink Of An Eye” will premiere on February 27th 2026 on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.  Expect the film to also be released on Disney+ around the world.
