“Is This Thing On?” Trailer Released

Disney has released a new trailer for the upcoming Searchlight Pictures movie, “Is This Thing On?”, which is based on the real-life story of British comedian John Bishop.

The film tells the story of what happened as their marriage quietly unravels, Alex faces middle age and an impending divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess confronts the sacrifices she made for their family—forcing them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and whether love can take a new form.

Check out the “Is This Thing On?” trailer below:

The film has been directed by Bradley Cooper and is based on a screenplay by Bradley Cooper, Will Arnett, and Mark Chappell.  It has been produced by Bradley Cooper, Weston Middleton, Will Arnett, and Kris Thykier. It stars Will Arnett, Laura Dern, Andra Day, Bradley Cooper, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, and Scott Icenogle.

“Is This Thing On?” is coming to cinemas in the United States in December and a little later on January 30th 2026, in the United Kingdom.  We should expect the film to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ a few months later.
