“All’s Fair” Becomes Huge Hit For Hulu

Earlier this week, Disney released the first three episodes of a brand new series from Ryan Murphy called “All’s Fair”, on Hulu and Disney+ around the world and within the first three days, the show became Hulu Originals’ biggest scripted series premiere in three years, pulling in 3.2 million views globally.

The series follows a team of female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice. Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks. In a world where money talks and love is a battleground, these women don’t just play the game—they change it.

The series stars Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka with Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close.

Following the show’s release, critics weren’t impressed, with the show hitting just a 5% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many outlets giving the show the lowest rating possible.

However, the show was able to make a big impact, with people checking out the show, either as a result of a strong traditional and social media campaign, or curiosity from viewers following the negative response, especially regarding Kim Kardashian’s acting skills and the overall style of the show.

Kim Kardashian even took to social media to promote the show with a tongue-in-cheek jab at critics:

“Have you tuned in to the most critically acclaimed show of the year!?!?!?

“All’s Fair,” produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television, is written and executive produced by Ryan Murphy, who also directs, Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Jamie Pachino, Lyn Greene and Richard Levine. Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts and Sarah Paulson star and executive produce. Anthony Hemingway executive produces and directs. Kris Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Nissa Diederich also serve as executive producers.

Roger’s Take: It’s great to see so many people tuned in for a new original show, regardless of the marketing of feedback; however, the big test is going to be whether this show is able to maintain its viewership, or if it will decline week by week.  I did watch the first episode earlier today, and I won’t be returning for any more. The hyper stylisation was distracting, as everything looked too perfect, and the characters just seemed way over the top and unnatural.
