“Only Murders In The Building” Renewed For A Sixth Season
Following the release of the finale of the fifth season of the hit comedy series, “Only Murders In The Building”, Disney has announced that the show has been renewed for a sixth season, which will consist of ten episodes.
“Only Murders In The Building” follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.
The new season will venture overseas for the first time, with the beloved crime-solving trio leaving New York City to investigate London’s newest mystery.
Season five features a star-studded cast, including the return of multi-Oscar/Emmy winner Meryl Streep and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest and Jermaine Fowler. They join stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton.
“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Season five executive producers include John Hoffman, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith and JJ Philbin.
No release date for the sixth season has been confirmed, but with each season being released each summer, it’s likely the new season will follow that trend and arrive on Disney+ and Hulu later in 2026.
All five seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see the show is returning for a sixth season, and with the show often jumping to different locations to freshen up the show, heading across the pond to London will make it a little more interesting, plus it will open the door for different cameos and guest stars.
