
Disney’s “Sofia The First: Royal Magic” Cast Revealed
This weekend, Disney is hosting a special “Disney Jr. Let’s Play!” fan celebration at Disney California Adventure Park and the event kicked off with some casting announcements regarding a brand new “Sofia The First: Royal Magic” animated series.
“Sofia the First: Royal Magic” follows Sofia as she attends The Charmswell School for Royal Magic. During her time at Charmswell, Sofia discovers she is the most magical princess in the realm and must learn how to master her powers while making new royal friends. Each episode will contain two 11-minute stories, each with a new original song.
It was previously announced that Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”) will return in the titular role as the voice of Sofia in this new series featuring the beloved Sofia the First.
Today, it was confirmed that are additional returning cast members from the original series including Wayne Brady (“Let’s Make A Deal”) as Clover, Tim Gunn (“Project Runway”) as Baileywick, Eric Stonestreet (“Modern Family”) as Minimus, Sara Ramirez (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Queen Miranda and Travis Willingham (“The Legend of Vox Machina”) as King Roland.
It is being produced by Disney Television Animation. Craig Gerber (“Sofia the First,” “Elena of Avalor, “Firebuds”) serves as creator and executive producer. Many of the creative team from “Firebuds” are involved in this series, including Krystal Banzon as co-executive producer and story editor, Kris Wimberly as supervising director, and Craig Simpson as producer.
This new series is set to debut in 2026 on Disney Jr and Disney+. The original animated series is also available to stream on Disney+.
