“9-1-1” & “9-1-1: Nashville” Renewed For New Seasons

Today, Disney has announced that it has renewed the hit procedural drama “9-1-1”, along with its spin-off series, “9-1-1: Nashville”, for new seasons.

 “9-1-1”, which is currently in its ninth season, explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders — including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers — who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.

“9-1-1: Nashville” is a high-octane procedural about heroic first responders, as well as their family saga of power and glamour set in one of America’s most diverse and dynamic cities.

The original series stars Angela Bassett as Athena Grant, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie Han, Oliver Stark as Evan “Buck” Buckley, Kenneth Choi as Howie “Chimney” Han, Aisha Hinds as Henrietta “Hen” Wilson, Ryan Guzman as Eddie Diaz and Gavin McHugh as Christopher Diaz.

While the spinoff stars Chris O’Donnell, Jessica Capshaw, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, LeAnn Rimes, Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz and Hunter McVey.

Both shows are produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television.  They will both be returning for their new seasons later this year as part of the 2026/27 television season. 

“9-1-1” and “9-1-1: Nashville” are both available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.

Roger’s Take:  The return of “9-1-1” was pretty much a lock in, as it’s been a massive hit since it moved from FOX to ABC, and I’m not surprised these shows have been renewed for new seasons.
