20th Century Studios Adapting “Beach Read”
20th Century Studios is developing a brand new film based on the popular novel, “Beach Read”, which is a romantic comedy about a romance writer who no longer believes in love and a literary writer stuck in a rut engage in a summer-long challenge that may just upend everything they believe about happily ever afters. Augustus Everett is an acclaimed author of literary fiction. January Andrews writes bestselling romance. When she pens a happily ever after, he kills off his entire cast.
Deadline has revealed that the film is going to be directed by Yulin Kuang, who will also be adapting the film from Emily Henry’s book, which is a New York Times bestseller and it was named one of the best books of the year by numerous publications, including Oprah Magazine and Goodreads.
Yulin Kuang has previously finished adapting another Emily Henry novel, “People We Meet On Vacation”, which was made by 3000 Pictures with Temple Hill producing and is going to be directed by Brett Haley.
Original Film is going to be producing “Beach Read”. No other details on this upcoming film have been revealed, such as who might star in it, or if it will be released in cinemas first or on Disney’s streaming services.
