“20/20: Idaho Justice” Coming Soon To ABC, Hulu & Hulu On Disney+
Disney has announced details on the return of the hit documentary series, “20/20”, with a new documentary called “Idaho Justice”, which tells the story that dominated the headlines and had everyone talking this summer: the guilty plea of Bryan Kohberger. Maddie Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin were the four University of Idaho students whose lives ended tragically when they violently collided with Kohberger in the early morning hours of Nov. 13, 2022. Whitworth has been reporting on the case since 2022, and on her ABC News Audio podcast “The King Road Killings: An Idaho Murder Mystery.” Now, she returns to Idaho, uncovering new details about the crime, evidence and Kohberger’s shocking guilty plea.
The two-hour-long program includes exclusive interviews with those who knew the victims best, including Ethan Chapin’s parents, Jim and Stacy, and siblings, Hunter and Maizie; Kaylee’s sister, Alivea; Maddie’s father, Ben; and friends Emily Alandt, Hunter Johnson, Josie Lauteren and Elijah Hall. “20/20” also talks to lead ISP investigator Darren Gilbertson, Latah County prosecutor Bill Thompson, Moscow Police Chief Anthony Dahlinger, FBI acting supervisor Agent Ed Jacobson (Ret.), Othram founders David and Kristen Mittelman, and Cellebrite’s Heather and Jared Barnhart.
ABC News’ “20/20” is an award-winning primetime program anchored by David Muir and Deborah Roberts. A proven leader as a long-form newsmagazine for over 45 years, “20/20” features unforgettable, character-driven true-crime mysteries, exclusive newsmaker interviews, hard-hitting investigative reports and in-depth coverage of high-profile stories. Janice Johnston is the executive producer.
The new two-hour “20/20” episode will air on Friday, 5th September 2025, at 9pm, and it will be available to stream the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, along with ABC News digital platforms.
