Disney Reveals ABC’s Midseason 2027 Premiere Dates

Disney has announced details on ABC’s 2027 midseason premiere dates, featuring many returning favourites and new series, plus marquee live events including “The Grammy Awards,” “Super Bowl LXI”, and “The Oscars.”

Following these premieres on ABC, new episodes will be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, with some selected titles also being available on Disney+.

The midseason schedule kicks off on Tuesday, 5th January 2027, with the Season 5 premiere of “Will Trent,” followed by the Season 3 premiere of “High Potential,” and the series debut of “Surviving a Scandal”, which delves into the trials and tribulations of the infamous people whose private lives became tabloid fodder. The series explores the long-term effects of relentless public scrutiny and what happens when your identity becomes synonymous with scandal. Whether thrust into the spotlight for their own scandals, or simply just proximity to foul play, the world watched as one event changed the trajectory of these people’s lives.

The following day, January 6th 2027, will see the return of “Shifting Gears,” along with “The Rookie” and the series premiere of the spin-off series “The Rookie North.”

Other shows returning that week on January 7th 2028 will see the new episodes of “9-1-1,” “9-1-1: Nashville” and “Grey’s Anatomy” return to the Thursday night lineup.

ABC and Disney+ will also air special events, including “The Grammy Awards” on Sunday, 7th February 2027 and “Super Bowl LXI” on Sunday, 14th February 2027.
