“Star Wars: The Mandalorian And Grogu” Disney+ Release Date Revealed
Disney has kicked off the D23 Ultimate Fan Event with a major announcement of the Disney+ release date for the latest Star Wars film, “The Mandalorian And Grogu”.
The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.
“Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” also stars Sigourney Weaver, with Martin Scorsese and Jeremy Allen White lending their voices. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and written by Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni & Noah Kloor.
The film will be coming to Disney+ around the world on September 2nd 2026, just over a week after the release of the film on physical media formats such as 4K, Blu-Ray and DVD.
The first three seasons of “The Mandalorian” are also available to stream on Disney+.
Roger’s Take: Between the theatrical and streaming release, it’s about 103 days! So fits in with the usual 100+ day release schedule, though it’s a week later than I was expecting, since they are waiting until the DVD/Blu-Ray release the week before.
I’ve zero doubt that “The Mandalorian & Grogu” will be a massive hit when it drops onto Disney+ in September, especially as that’s the natural home for adventures with this awesome duo.
