“Sofia The First: Once Upon A Princess” Coming Soon To Disney+
Disney has announced that the spin-off movie, “Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess” will be coming soon to Disney+ for the first time ever.
Once upon a time in the kingdom of Enchancia, Sofia became a princess. With her mother, Miranda, now married to King Roland II, Sofia has to learn the royal ropes! To help Sofia along the way are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy, Fauna, Flora and Merryweather, her royal steward, Baileywick, and a group of cute woodland creatures led by a wise-talking rabbit, Clover. On her journey, Sofia will discover that looking like royalty isn’t all that difficult, but being a true princess has to come from the heart.
It stars Ariel Winter as Sofia, Sara Ramirez as Queen Miranda, Wayne Brady as Clover, and Tim Gunn as Baileywick. It has been directed by Jamie Mitchell and written by Craig Gerber.
This animated special was originally released on the Disney Channel back in late 2012, and while it’s been available to stream on YouTube, it will also be available to Disney+ subscribers.
“Sofia the First: Once Upon a Princess” will be coming to Disney+ in the United States on February 27th 2026. No international release for Disney+ has been confirmed yet, but hopefully, it’ll be available globally at the same time .
The original animated series is also available to stream on Disney+ and currently production is underway on a sequel series, “Sofia the First: Royal Magic”.
