Disney Delays “The Simpsons 2” Movie
Disney has announced that the upcoming second movie based on the iconic animated franchise, “The Simpsons”, has been delayed by two months.
The movie was originally going to be released in cinemas on July 23rd 2027, but now it will be released on the Labor Day weekend on September 3rd 2027. Disney released an image of Homer Simpson stabbing his own foot with a flagpole, causing him to drop his doughnut.

A two-month delay isn’t too much, but the original release date was almost exactly 20 years from the release of the first “Simpsons” movie, so it’s a shame that it’s no longer making its summer release schedule, but now it does mean it won’t hit cinemas over the summer of 2027.
No plot details for the upcoming second “Simpsons” movie have been revealed, but hopefully, we will find out more about it nearer the time.
With a Labor Weekend release, we will likely then see the second “Simpsons” movie arrive on Disney+ a few months later, in time for the holidays.
The original “Simpsons” movie, along with all of the previous seasons of “The Simpsons”, are available to stream now on Disney+.
