Disney has announced that Hulu has renewed the adult animated series “King of the Hill” for two more seasons (16 and 17) with a 20-episode order.
The show was initially revived in January 2023 with a 20-episode order, with the first ten episodes from the 14th season, released earlier this summer on Hulu and Disney+.
After years working a propane job in Saudi Arabia to earn their retirement nest egg, Hank and Peggy Hill return to a changed Arlen, Texas to reconnect with old friends Dale, Boomhauer and Bill. Meanwhile, Bobby is living his dream as a chef in Dallas and enjoying his 20s with his former classmates Connie, Joseph and Chane.
The series stars Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss.
“King of the Hill,” from 20th Television Animation, is executive produced by original co-creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, as well as incoming executive producer and showrunner Saladin Patterson. Additionally, 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein, and Bandera Entertainment’s Dustin Davis serve as executive producers. The Emmy-winning series ran for 13 seasons with over 250 episodes.
The upcoming 15th season of “King of the Hill” will premiere on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the US, and on Disney+ internationally in 2026.
The previous seasons are available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Roger’s Take: It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see Disney has renewed “King Of The Hill” for more seasons following the show premiering in the second place on Nielsen’s overall Top 10 streaming chart this summer. This renewal now means we’ve likely got new episodes of “King Of The Hill” for years!
