“The Roses” Digital & DVD/Blu-Ray Release Details Announced

Disney has announced the home release details for the new Searchlight Pictures film, “The Roses”, which tells the story of Ivy and Theo, who on the surface look like the picture-perfect couple,  with successful careers, a loving marriage, great kids. But beneath the façade of their supposed ideal life, a storm is brewing – as Theo’s career nosedives while Ivy’s own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites.

Director Jay Roach brings sharp comedic instincts and a distinctly British edge to this modern portrait of a family in freefall. Balancing biting satire with moments of outrageous humour, he crafts a story of real life gone spectacularly wrong. 

The movie is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film “The War of the Roses”, which was based on the novel by Warren Adler.  It stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman.

It has been revealed that “The Roses” will be released on digital platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, on October 21st, 2025.  The movie will also be released on physical platforms, including Blu-ray and DVD, on November 25th 2025. 

No streaming release date for Disney+ and Hulu has been announced yet, but expect it to arrive around the same time as the physical release.
