“Taylor Swift | The Era Tour” Concert Special & Documentary Series Coming Soon To Disney+
Last week, Taylor Swift launched her latest album, “The Life Of A Showgirl”, which became the biggest album launch of all time and Disney is looking to take advantage of the hype with two brand new projects coming to Disney+ later this year.
One of those projects will be a new six-episode behind-the-scenes documentary series that offers unprecedented access to her record-breaking tour, The Eras Tour. The documentary is called “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” chronicles the development, impact, and inner-workings that created the phenomenon that was The Eras Tour.
The other project is the “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” the full concert film featuring “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT” for the first time, begins streaming on December 12th 2025 only on Disney+.
“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” is an illuminating docuseries on Disney+ that gives an intimate look at Taylor’s life as her tour made headlines and thrilled fans around the world. In addition, the series spotlights performers, family members, and friends – including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch – offering never-before-seen insight into what it took to create a phenomenon.
In addition, “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show,” filmed in Vancouver, B.C. will debut on Disney+ December 12th 2025. The full concert film, captured during the final show of the tour, features the entire set of “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT,” which was added to the tour following that album’s release in 2024.
“Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End of an Era” is directed by Don Argott, co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce and produced by Object & Animal. “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show” is directed by Glenn Weiss and produced by Taylor Swift Productions in association with Silent House Productions.
Both the concert and documentary series will be released on Disney+ on December 12th 2025, with the first two episodes of the series being released first, with new episodes being released each week.
Roger’s Take: It makes a lot of sense for Disney to continue to lean in on the success of “The Eras Tour” and the current Taylor Swiftmania. No doubt this is going to be a huge success for Disney+ as the Swifties want to know more about one of the most successful tours of all time.
