Disney+ Hosts “Swiped” European Premiere In London

Just ahead of the release of the new 20th Century Studios movie, “Swiped”, Disney hosted the European premiere of the film at the Curzon Mayfair in London on Thursday evening.

Inspired by the provocative real-life story of the visionary founder of online dating platform Bumble, 20th Century Studios’ new feature film “Swiped” introduces recent college grad Whitney Wolfe (Lily James) as she uses extraordinary grit and ingenuity to break into the male-dominated tech industry, launch an innovative, globally lauded dating app—two, actually, and pave the way to becoming the youngest female self-made billionaire.

The event was hosted by award-winning broadcaster Emily Maitlis. Attending the event was Lily James, who plays the lead role of Whitney Wolfe, and produces the film, was joined by cast members Dan Stevens, Myha’la, Director and Writer Rachel Lee Goldenberg and Executive Producer Gala Gordon. Other notable guests included Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne, Vanessa Feltz, Kieran Holmes-Darby and Megan Jupp.

“Swiped” will be coming out on Friday 19th September 2025 on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ in other countries around the world including the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
