Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, has hundreds of movies available from across the Disney vault.  But there are going to be many movies missing due to existing contract issues.

These missing movies are being shown within the Disney+ app but can’t be watched. Each movie missing is showing a description of the film, along with a trailer and the date it will be added to Disney+.

Unfortunately there are many movies that we won’t be able to see in the US until 2021. It’s also important to note that these releases will vary country to country, as many of these are already available in the Netherlands.

What movie are you not happy about having to wait for?

Yikes, never would I expect that some of the titles that aren't part of the Netflix deal won't be arriving on Disney+ until mid-late 2020 and/or mid-late 2021. Of course, as you said it yourself in the article and in previous mentions, the rights to these films are tied up with other distributors internationally and to a degree the US and Canada (e.g. Netflix, Sky, Amazon Prime, HBO, Starz, etc..) so it will be a while for these films to expire before they show up on Disney+. Going by the movies listed in the article (not counting the Disney+ original films) it seems we may be getting in between 4-5 or 6-10 movies from the Disney film library on Disney+ per month. I'm also curious when will Enchanted come out cause I'm surprised to see it not listed in the article nor a release date when it comes out. It also raises the question on which Fox movies are coming soon to Disney+ as well? I'm well aware that the more recent Fox films from the HBO deal won't be included as the deal with the service won't expire until 2022, but I also stand corrected that the Fox movies that were released before the August 2012 deal with HBO (e.g. Rio, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules, etc..) will still be on HBO through the HBO Max streaming service instead of Disney+.
