At last years Investor Day event, Disney revealed lots of details on its new streaming service, Disney+, which included some images showcasing what would be coming to Disney+ in the future, including the hit ABC show, “Once Upon A Time”.

Unfortunately, a year later and “Once Upon A Time” still hasn’t been made available for Disney+ subscribers.  This is because the series are currently available on Netflix, due to an existing deal that Disney made with Netflix years ago.

According to “What’s On Netflix”, “Once Upon A Time” will be leaving Netflix on September 6th 2020, which is two years after the final season was added to Netflix.  Once it leave Netflix, it should then be available for it to be added Disney+.   Another ABC show, “Scandal” is due to leave Netflix in May, which is leaving 2 years after its last season was added, though that series is expected to head to Hulu.

The show ran for 7 seasons, with over 150 episodes, plus it also had a spin-off series called “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland”.   The show is based on a town in Maine where every story book character you’ve ever known is trapped between two worlds, victims of a powerful curse including Snow White, Merrida, The Wicked Witch, Elsa, Anna, Captain Hook and many more.  Only one knows the truth and only one can break the spell. Emma Swan is a 28-year-old bail bonds collector who has been supporting herself since she was abandoned as a baby. Things change for her when her son Henry, whom she abandoned years ago, finds her and asks for her help explaining that she is from a different world where she is Snow White’s missing daughter.

The creators of “Once Upon A Time” are currently working with Josh Gad on a new “Beauty and the Beast”prequel series for Disney+ focused on Gaston and LeFou.

Getting “Once Upon A Time” finally onto Disney+ would be a huge boost for subscribers.

Are you excited for Once Upon A Time joining Disney+?
