Disney has once again removed the 20th Century Studios Marvel movie, “The Wolverine” from Disney+ in the United States. The film is still available on Disney+ in other countries.
This isn’t the first time Disney has removed “The Wolverine” from Disney+, having previously added the film to Disney+ in September 2020, it was then removed just a few months later at the start of December. The film then returned to Disney+ in January 2021, before being removed again today.
In Wolverine, Logan travels to Tokyo to meet Yashida, an old acquaintance who is dying. The situation regresses when Yashida offers to take away his healing abilities, but Logan refuses.
No return date for “The Wolverine” to Disney+ in the United States has yet been announced. However, both previous removals have only been temporary. Eventually, once the pre-existing contracts that were made before Disney purchased 20th Century Fox have expired, the film should stop being moved around.
While Disney doesn’t remove too many titles each month, unfortunately, Disney+ doesn’t advertise these removals in advance like other streaming services like Netflix or Hulu.
