With the nights pulling in, schools going back and Christmas merchandise creeping into stores, the British summer is slowly fading as we head into the autumn. While most of us would like to cling onto summer for a little longer, the good news, is finally there are some new shows to watch on the telly. And Disney+ won’t be any different, as there are over a dozen new exclusive shows heading to the streaming service over the next few months.
Here’s a look ahead at some of the highlights of what’s coming to Disney+ over the next few months:
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING
From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, Only Murders In The Building follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years.
New episodes are dropping onto Disney+ every Tuesday.
THE WALKING DEAD – SEASON 11
In the wake of a zombie apocalypse, various survivors struggle to stay alive. As they search for safety and evade the undead, they are forced to grapple with rival groups and difficult choices. Season 11 will be the final season for the main show and is a Star Exclusive, so it’s the only place to watch the show.
New episodes are being released every Monday.
HAPPIER THAN EVER: A LOVE LETTER TO LOS ANGELES
GRAMMY Award-winning and chart-topping artist Billie Eilish will make her Disney+ debut with “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,” a cinematic concert experience. Fresh off the heels of her brand- new album, “Happier than Ever,” the Disney+ original will feature an intimate performance of every song in the album’s sequential order – for the first and only time – from the stage of the legendary Hollywood Bowl. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and co-directed by Oscar-winner Patrick Osborne the special will also include animated elements, taking viewers on a dreamlike journey through Billie’s hometown of Los Angeles and its most iconic backdrops. “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles” will feature guest appearances from singer-songwriter FINNEAS, the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel, and world renowned Brazilian guitarist, Romero Lubambo. “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles” was produced by Interscope Films and Darkroom Productions, in association with Nexus Studios and ALPWW, with Kerry Asmussen as the Live Concert Director and Pablo Berron as Director of Photography.

THE D’AMELIO SHOW
From relative obscurity and a seemingly normal life, to overnight success and thrust into the Hollywood limelight, the D’Amelios are faced with new challenges and opportunities they could not have imagined. DOOGIE KAMEALOHA, M.D.
Set in modern-day Hawai‘i, “Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.” – a coming-of-age dramedy inspired by the hit medical series “Doogie Howser, M.D.” – follows Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical ‘ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path. Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her career-driven mother Dr. Clara Hannon who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, her doting father Benny who helps keep her connected to what matters most, her free-spirited older brother Kai, her gregarious younger brother Brian Patrick, her best friend Steph, her surfer crush Walter and her fellow hospital colleagues, Dr. Lee, Charles and Noelani.
New episodes will be arriving on Disney+ every Wednesday from September 8th.
Y: THE LAST MAN
“Y: The Last Man” is a new FX drama series based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series of the same name by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. “Y: The Last Man” traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better. Eliza Clark serves as showrunner and an executive producer along with Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda, Vaughn and Melina Maksoukas. The series stars Diane Lane, Ashley Romans, Ben Schnetzer, Olivia Thirlby, Amber Tamblyn, Marin Ireland, Diana Bang, Elliot Fletcher and Juliana Canfield. The series is produced by FX Productions.
The first three episodes of ‘Y: The Last Man’ will drop onto Disney+ on 22nd September 2021, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday afterwards.
STAR WARS VISIONS
Star Wars: Visions will be a series of animated short films celebrating Star Wars through the lens of the world’s best anime creators. The anthology collection brings together some fantastic visions from several of the leading Japanese anime studios, offering a fresh and diverse cultural perspective to Star Wars.
All episodes of “Star Wars: Visions” will be released on Disney+ on September 22nd, 2021. There will also be a behind-the-scenes featurette released on the same day.
MARVEL STUDIOS WHAT IF?
Marvel Studios’ “What If…?,” showcasing the compelling series that reimagines famous events from films in the MCU. Creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities, “What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more.

AMERICAN HORROR STORIES
“American Horror Stories,” produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, is a new anthology series from Emmy and Golden Globe award winning producer Ryan Murphy spun off from FX’s biggest, longest running original drama hit, “American Horror Story.”
The first episode will arrive onto Disney+ on 8th September 2021 and new episodes will be released every Wednesday.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: DOUBLE FEATURE
Synopsis: This Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise, is the progenitor of the modern-day limited series format and the longest-running hour-long series in FX’s history and now returns with the 10th instalment, “American Horror Story: Double Feature”.
The next season of ‘American Horror Story’ is coming to Disney+ this October
Reservation Dogs, a new half hour comedy, coming-of-age story about four Native American teenagers growing up on a reservation in eastern Oklahoma who spend their days committing crimes… and fighting it. The series co-created by Sterlin Harjo, a Native American who also directed the pilot episode, and Academy Award-winner Taika Waititi (“JoJo Rabbit,” “What We Do in the Shadows”). The series stars D’Pharoah Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis and Lane Factor. Reservation Dogs is executive produced by Sterlin Harjo, Taika Waititi and Garrett Basch.

HIP HOP UNCOVERED
Hip Hop Uncovered reveals the untold story of how America’s streets helped shape hip hop culture from an expression of survival and defiance into music’s most dominant genre. The documentary series takes a deep dive into the paradox of America’s criminalization of the genre and its fascination with the street culture that created it and still exists within it.
This new documentary series will be coming to Disney+ this Autumn
Disney+ will be releasing a brand new 8-episode series this autumn called “Just Beyond” from writer Seth Grahame-Smith and produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The horror/comedy anthology is based on the best-selling BOOM! Studios graphic novel series from iconic children’s writer R.L. Stine (“Goosebumps”).
No much is known about the series, but it’s coming to Disney+ this Autumn.
From Executive Producer Danny Strong and starring and executive produced by Michael Keaton, “Dopesick” examines how one company triggered the worst drug epidemic in American history. The series takes viewers to the epicenter of America’s struggle with opioid addiction, from the boardrooms of Purdue Pharma, to a distressed Virginia mining community, to the hallways of the DEA. The unsparing yet deeply human portraits of the various families affected by Oxycontin addiction and their intersecting stories hold up a mirror to this American tragedy, while shining a hopeful light on the heroes battling the craven corporate forces behind this national crisis. The limited series is inspired by the New York Times bestselling book by Beth Macy. “Dopesick” is written by Emmy winner Danny Strong and directed by Oscar winner Barry Levinson. Executive producers include Danny Strong, John Goldwyn, Barry Levinson, Warren Littlefield, Beth Macy and Karen Rosenfelt. The limited series is based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same name by Beth Macy, coming to Star on Disney+ from 20th Television and The Littlefield Company. The series stars Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard, Will Poulter, John Hoogenakker with Kaitlyn Dever and Rosario Dawson.
‘Dopesick’ will be coming to Disney+ this Autumn
Marvel Studios’ “Hawkeye” stars Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, who teams up with another well-known archer from the Marvel comics, Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. “Hawkeye” is helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie.
The first episode of Marvel Studios’s ‘Hawkeye’ will be coming to Disney+ on Wednesday’s from 24th November.
There will be more new original content heading to Disney+ in the coming months and this is in addition to new episodes of many shows like ‘Last Man Standing’, ‘That One Feyenoord’, ‘Mixedish’, ‘American Dad’, ‘The Great North’ and much more arriving every week.
