Canadian Disney+ subscribers are getting a ton of new content in September, with lots of great new Disney+ Originals including new episodes of “Turner & Hooch”, “Marvel’s What If?” plus a brand new series, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.. And there will be new additions to the Disney+ library from Star including new episodes of “American Horror Stories” and “Reservation Dogs”. Plus much more.


NOTE – This list isn’t complete and will be updated with new additions as they are announced. The list is also subject to change. Content may vary depending on your country and this list is based on the Canadian release schedule.

Wednesday 1st September

Dug Days (Season 1)

Pixar Animation Studios’ “Dug Days” is a series of shorts that follows the humorous misadventures of Dug, the lovable dog from Disney and Pixar’s “Up.” Each short features everyday events that occur in Dug’s backyard, all through the exciting (and slightly distorted) eyes of our favorite talking dog. Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® Award winner Bob Peterson.



Monsters At Work – Episode 110 “It’s Laughter They’re After” – Finale

Tylor achieves his dream and is promoted to Jokester… but he feels torn on leaving MIFT. Meanwhile, Laugh Power is threatened when Mike and Sulley are given an ultimatum: generate more power or be shut down.

 


Marvel’s What If – Episode 4

“What If…?” flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles.



Turner & Hooch – Episode 107 “To Serve and Pawtect”

Scott works security for a beloved Senator, while Hooch becomes a viral sensation

 


“Chip ‘n’ Dale: Park Life” – Episode 6 – “The Hazelnut King / Egg Baby / Mega Muscle Chip”

Chip and Dale are forced to defend their precious hazelnut from within a bouncy fortress. / Chip and Dale adopt a lost egg. / Chip embraces his newfound muscles with the help of an abandoned toy wrestler


Marvel Studios Legends

“Marvel Studios Legends” serves as an exciting refresher for the various heroes and villains making their way to the highly anticipated streaming shows premiering on Disney+, setting the stage for the upcoming adventures. The episode will feature The Ten Rings.



Genius – Aretha (S3)

The third season explores Aretha Franklin’s musical genius and incomparable career, as well as the immeasurable impact and lasting influence she has had on music and culture around the world. Grammy Award winner Franklin was a gospel prodigy and outspoken civil rights champion; she is widely considered to be the greatest singer of the past 50 years, receiving countless honors throughout her career.


American Horror Stories (S1, E3)

A screening of a forbidden film has disastrous consequences.


The Hustler (S1)

Hosted by Craig Ferguson, “The Hustler” breaks the game show mold by featuring one player who secretly already knows the answers. Each episode follows five contestants as they collaborate to answer a series of trivia questions, with the goal of building a collective prize pot that increases with each correct answer. But one of the five contestants, the “hustler,” already knows the answers but must keep everything a secret to have a shot at winning the grand prize. Two contestants are anonymously eliminated by the hustler, leaving three remaining contestants who must collectively decide who they think the hustler is. If they are right, they share the prize. But if the two contestants are wrong, the hustler wins it all.


Reservation Dogs (S1, Premiere)

One year after the death of their friend, four Native teens commit crimes to fund their efforts to leave their home in rural Oklahoma.



The Simpsons (S31-32)

Working-class father Homer Simpson and his dysfunctional family deal with comical situations and the ups-and-downs of life in the town of Springfield.


Behind The Scenes of Growing Up Animal

Go behind the scenes of “Growing Up Animal,” the six-episode, intimate and extraordinary adventure of baby animals, from the safety of the womb to the uncertainty of birth and their tentative first steps. Friday 3rd September


Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles

Chart-topping artist Billie Eilish will make her Disney+ debut with “Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles,” a cinematic concert experience. Fresh off the heels of her brand-new album, “Happier than Ever,” the Disney+ original will feature an intimate performance of every song in the album’s sequential order – for the first and only time – from the stage of the legendary Hollywood Bowl.


Ad Astra

Astronaut Roy McBride undertakes a dangerous mission across the solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and a series of strange power surges.



The D’Amelio Show

From relative obscurity and a seemingly normal life, to overnight success and thrust into the Hollywood limelight, the D’Amelios are faced with new challenges and opportunities they could not have imagined. Charli, who at 16 became one of the biggest celebrities with over 150 million followers combined and #1 on the TikTok platform in less than a year, has the world at her fingertips and is working to balance fame and family, life with dancing, running a budding empire, making new friends in LA and battling the naysayers online. Her sister Dixie, is now 19 and experiencing her own overnight rise to fame with over 78 million followers combined, one of the fastest growing YouTube channels and ranked within the Top 10 Most Followed Creators on TikTok. Only Murders In The Building – Episode 3

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, “Only Murders In The Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. – Episode 1

“Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.” – a coming-of-age dramedy inspired by the hit medical series “Doogie Howser, M.D.” – follows Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical ‘ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path.

The Golden Girls (S1-7)

The Golden Girls is based on the lives and interactions of four older women who have all been divorced/widowed, and are now roommates. Dorothy’s main goal during the series is to find a companion she can relate to while her mother Sophia adds her comical outlook and frequent “Picture This” stories.


The Great North (S1)

Following the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, Beef, does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close — especially his only daughter, Judy, whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy’s older brother, Wolf, and his fiancé, Honeybee, her middle brother, Ham, and 10-year-old-going-on-50 little brother, Moon. While their mother is not in the picture, Judy seeks guidance from her new boss, Alyson, and her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the northern lights.
