In December, Disney+ will be getting many new originals including new episodes of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, along with a holiday special of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.  There will also be some new library additions throughout the month including major titles leaving Netflix such as Ralph Breaks The Internet.


NOTE – This list isn’t complete and will be updated with new additions as they are announced.   The list is also subject to change.   Content may vary depending on your country and this list is based on the US release schedule.

Friday 4th December

Mulan

To save her ailing father from serving in the Imperial Army, a fearless young woman disguises herself as a man to battle northern invaders in China.

Godmothered

Set at Christmas time, “Godmothered” is a comedy about Eleanor, a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training (Jillian Bell) who upon hearing that her chosen profession is facing extinction, decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. Finding a mislaid letter from a 10-year-old girl in distress, Eleanor tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie, is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Having lost her husband several years earlier, Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is bound and determined to give Mackenzie a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not.


Star Wars: The Mandalorian – Season 2 – Episode 6

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.


The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse – Episode 5 & 6

“Keep On Rollin’”
Mickey and his friends’ disco night at the roller rink is placed in peril when their fun is crashed by Peg-Leg Pete and his gang.

“The Big Good Wolf”
Mickey Mouse attempts to turn the Big Bad Wolf into a good person.


Extras – Beyond the Clouds: Where It All Began

Beyond the Clouds takes an exclusive look inside the production and inspiration behind the Disney+ original movie. The short form docuseries can be found under extras for Clouds. A total of nine episodes will premiere weekly with the final episode streaming on January 29. In the first episode, director Justin Baldoni stumbles upon Zach Sobiech’s story and sets out to find him. From their very first meeting, Justin realizes this young musician’s story is special and that Zach’s desire to make an impact before he leaves this world can inspire people everywhere.


Anastasia

When her family is killed, Anastasia barely makes it out alive. Later, with vague memories of her past, she travels to Paris with two cons who want to portray her as the real princess and get rewards.


Big Sharks Rule

Warm, cold, rich and murky water collide to create shark central, with enough food to sustain the biggest. … The cast is a who’s who of the most notorious: Great White, Tiger, Bull, Ragged tooth, and the biggest of the lot – the Whale shark.


Man vs. Shark

Marine biologist and shark suit inventor, Jeremiah Sullivan, attempts to intentionally get bitten by a deadly tiger shark and survive.


Big

In this heartfelt comedy starring Tom Hanks, a young boy discovers adulthood isn ‘t all it’s cracked up to be when his wish to be a grown-up magically comes true.


The Nutcracker and the Four Realms

On Christmas Eve, Clara realises that before dying, her mother left her with an inheritance to a magical world of fairies and toy soldiers that are alive. She holds the key to the fate of this world.


Sky High

Will, the son of The Commander and Jetstream, is enrolled in Sky High, a school for the children of superheroes. There, he discovers his true powers and learns about loyalty and friendship.


The Wonderful World Of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration (2020)

Original hosts Derek and Julianne Hough return, kicking off the night with a glittering new holiday performance, while Trevor Jackson (Freeform’s “grown-ish”) hosts from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Together, they will take viewers on a wintry ride through fan-favorite performances and new heartwarming family moments. Viewers will also get a brand-new sneak peek into Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure coming in 2021 to EPCOT in Florida.


The Disney Holiday Singalong (2020)

Returning for a third iteration, “The Disney Holiday Singalong” will feature more music and magic just in time for the holidays. The one-hour festive musical event will feature star-studded performances, animated on-screen lyrics, more favorite Disney melodies and classic holiday songs.

Friday 11th December


Safety

“Safety” is the empowering story of Ray McElrathbey, a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose faith and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities and play football on scholarship at Clemson University, all while struggling to raise and care for his 11-year-old brother Fahmarr.


High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special

The cast of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” delivers an abundance of feel-good holiday cheer as they perform their favorite Christmas, Hanukkah and New Year’s songs and share their fondest holiday memories in “High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special.” The 45-minute special will also feature a sneak peek performance from the highly anticipated second season of the popular series.

Series regulars Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. Cyr and Kate Reinders will get viewers in the holiday spirit with their renditions of holiday classics, popular hits and a medley of Hanukkah favorites. They will also share anecdotes of memorable holidays from their childhoods, best – and most embarrassing! – presents, favorite traditions, family photos and poignant New Year’s resolutions. Bassett will also debut an acoustic version of an original song which he wrote for season two of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”

The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse – Episode 7 & 8

“The Brave Little Squire”
Mickey dreams of being a knight, but when he is chosen to be Sir Mortimer’s squire, he discovers his new boss’s heroic reputation is a fairytale.

“An Ordinary Date”
Mickey and Minnie attempt to make their ordinary dinner date into something extraordinary.


Disney Channel’s Epic Holiday Showdown

The special centers around Santa and Mrs. Claus, played by “Entertainment Tonight’s” Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, respectively, as they enlist the help of Disney Channel stars to save the holidays from Ebenezer Scrooge (“Raven’s Home” star Anneliese van der Pol). The stars will take on a series of zany holiday-themed challenges to lift her evil curse on Christmas.


Disney Holiday Magic Quest

“Disney Holiday Magic Quest” is virtually hosted by Raven-Symoné, features multitalented “ZOMBIES 2” stars Milo Manheim, Kylee Russell, Ariel Martin and Pearce Joza competing in a high-stakes, holiday adventure inside Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort after dark.

The stars will navigate a series of challenges and obstacles through iconic Disney attractions, including the Haunted Mansion and Cinderella Castle, in an attempt to restore the holiday magic that was stolen by famed Disney villains Maleficent and Evil Queen.

 


Gender Revolution: A Journey with Katie Couric

Katie Couric sets out to explore the rapidly evolving complexities of gender identity.


Extras – Beyond the Clouds: Meet the Sobiechs

Intercut with footage from their auditions, we meet Fin, Sabrina, Madison, Neve, and Tom as Justin sends the cast to meet their real-life counterparts in Minnesota and New York City. The group bonds over their love of Zach, and the actors discover inspiration to bring their roles to life.


Ralph Breaks The Internet

Ralph and his best friend, Vanellope, face various challenges as they visit the uncharted land of the Internet through a Wi-Fi router at the arcade to save the game, Sugar Rush.

Mickey and his friends’ plans for a barbeque get sidetracked after a quick trip to the supermarket turns into an odyssey.

“Just the Four of Us”
Donald and Daisy’s little lie becomes a big problem when they try to get out of a group date with Mickey and Minnie.


On Pointe

“On Pointe” is a six-part docu-series that captures a season in the School of American Ballet (SAB) in New York City. Featuring unprecedented access to the famous ballet institution, the series follows the lives of the students ages 8 to 18 pursuing their dreams to become ballet dancers. While older students from all over the country rigorously train for professional careers, younger students from New York City are put through their paces as they rehearse and perform in New York City Ballet’s holiday classic “George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker” onstage at Lincoln Center.


Into The Woods

As the result of the curse of a once-beautiful witch (Meryl Streep), a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Emily Blunt) are childless. Three days before the rise of a blue moon, they venture into the forest to find the ingredients that will reverse the spell and restore the witch’s beauty: a milk-white cow, hair as yellow as corn, a blood-red cape, and a slipper of gold. During their journey, they meet Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Jack, each one on a quest to fulfill a wish.


Buried Truth of the Maya

Maya legend tells us that there is a hidden underground cave below Chichen Itza, now high tech archaeologists are here to find the buried truth.


Cosmos: Possible Worlds (s1)

Following the wildly successful “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” Neil deGrasse Tyson returns as host to translate more revelations of science into a lavish transporting experience, taking audiences on a series of spiritual voyages of exploration. The show reveals previously uncharted realms, including lost worlds, worlds yet to come, and the worlds that humans may one day inhabit. Ann Druyan, original creative collaborator to Carl Sagan, whose iconic docuseries “Cosmos” provided inspiration for this series, serves as executive producer alongside Seth MacFarlane.


Disney Channel Holiday House Party

The show features Disney Channel stars, remotely from their homes, delivering a holiday sketch comedy show for kids and families. Hosted by Miranda May (“BUNK’D”), the ensemble of comedic actors will deck the halls with a variety of wacky characters and hilarious sketches, including a Gen Z influencer take on a Charles Dickens classic, a Disney Wand ID fail and a “High School Musical” throwback.


Disney Parks Sunrise Series (s1)

A collection of videos showcasing the Disney theme parks including Walt Disney World at sunrise.


Eddie the Eagle

Eddie Edwards, an underdog ski-jumper, tackles various challenges in order to become the first participant to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski-jumping.


Miraculous World: New York, United Heroez

Marinette’s class must travel to New York to celebrate French-American Friendship Week. The whole class participates in it… except Adrien, because his father refuses to let him go. In anticipation of her departure, Ladybug asks Cat Noir to watch over Paris but does not specify the reasons for her absence. The latter takes the mission very seriously… but when Marinette, as a class delegate, convinces Gabriel to let his son go with his classmates, Adrien has a problem. Indeed, the schoolboy is also Cat Noir in secret, he cannot at the same time watch over Paris and be with his class in New York. How is he going to do that? If the two heroes are away, who will watch over Paris? There’s one thing Ladybug and Cat Noir don’t know: Hawk Moth is also getting ready to travel! The French-American Friendship Week interests him the most and it may well be that American superheroes need a little help! What can Hawk Moth have in mind when heading to New York?

Max Keeble’s Big Movie

After a depressing first day of school, much-bullied seventh grader Max Keeble finds out that he’s moving to a new city in a week. Rather than put up with the normal routine of school, he starts getting revenge on all the people who have picked on him. After creating all kinds of mayhem, Max finds out he’s not moving after all and must face up to the consequences of his actions.

When Justin tasks Fin with creating an original song to be performed in the film, Fin surprises himself and everyone else when he discovers that his new song is directly connected to one Zach had been writing but was unable to finish before he passed away. Nothing short of a miracle, the story deeply touches Justin and, especially Zach’s girlfriend, Amy.
