To finish off July, Disney has released lots of great new content on Disney+ this week to enjoy, including multiple shows and another big blockbuster on Disney+ Premier Access.

Here are some of my recommendations to watch on Disney+ this week:

Jungle Cruise – Disney+ Premier Access

“Jungle Cruise” is a delight and a perfect summer popcorn blockbuster hit. It is an action-adventure up the Amazon that delivers exactly what it promises. It’s ultimately a film based on a classic Disney theme park ride, we’ve had to wait a little longer than we would have wanted, but when it’s finished, you forget about the waiting! If you love “Pirates Of The Caribbean” or “Jumanji”, you’ll love this one too.

The Mysterious Benedict Society

This week saw the penultimate episode of the series released on Disney+, where we see that tensions are at a fever pitch as “The Mysterious Benedict Society” get closer to stopping the evil Dr Curtain from using his “Whisperer” to do something terrifying to the world, through his subliminal messaging machine.  The pace of this episode keeps everything moving along nicely, getting ready for the big showdown between Dr Curtain and the Mysterious Benedict Society.  This has been a fantastic series, and I think an extremely underrated show that not enough people are watching.  I’d recommend this series to all Disney+ subscribers.

Chip ‘n’ Dale Park Life

This week’s newest Disney+ Original series is “Chip ‘n’ Dale Park Life”, which tells the stories of our two favourite chipmunks, Chip and Dale.  This is similar to “The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse”, with a modern take on the classic Disney characters, making it perfect for a new generation to fall in love with.  There are three shorts included in each episode, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday.  If you’ve got little ones or just love Chip ‘n’ Dale, this one could be a good nut to crack!

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

The finale of the second season of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” arrived on Disney+ this week, and while it didn’t quite hit the same heights as the first season, with two complete seasons available on Disney+, if you haven’t already checked it out, nows a good time.  One of the things that I did like with the second season, was the recreation of some of the best songs from “Beauty And The Beast”, there is some incredible talent in this show and it has some amazing performances.

Love, Victor – Season 2 (Star Original)

This week saw the release of the seventh episode of the second season on Disney+ around the world (except in the US).  Every week, I continue to be impressed with how this series continues to improve.  The storylines are much more mature, since the first season was made for Disney+ in 2019, aka the babysitting service.  Whereas the second season, is for the new grownup streaming services, Hulu and Star on Disney+.  I’m loving this series and knowing it’s returning for a third season, certainly made this episode even more fun, since I know we are going to be exploring these fantastic characters in the future.

What do you recommend people watch on Disney+ this week?
