Disney had an epic year in 2018, pulling in over $7.3 billion at the box office and with 2019 now underway, Walt Disney Studios look to be trying to repeat that success with a huge lineup of movies that will be hitting cinemas this year, such as Avengers: Endgame, Toy Story 4 and Star Wars: Episode 9.

Here is a look at Disney’s 2019 movie line up:

Captain Marvel – 8th March

Dumbo – March 29th

Penguins – April 17th

Marvel: Avengers: Endgame – April 26th

Aladdin – May 24th

Toy Story 4 – June 21st

The Lion King – July 19th

Artemis Fowl – August 9th

Frozen 2 – November 22nd

Star Wars: Episode IX – December 20th.

All of these movies will be eventually heading to Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+, since none of these movies will be going to Netflix first, since that deal expires at the end of January 2019.

So the movies in the early part of 2019 like Dumbo and Captain Marvel should be on Disney+ by the end of the year, if they follow the same pattern as Netflix movies of being available 6 months after their cinema release date.

And this lineup doesn’t include movies that will be released by 20th Century Fox like Anita: Battle Angle, Marvel’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix, The Kid Who Would be King, Spies in Disguise and others. Which will all come under Disney’s control when the purchase of Fox goes through in early 2019.

The list also doesn’t include Disney+ originals like Noelle or Lady and the Tramp, since no official details on those movies have been announced.

2019 is going to be a huge year for Disney…. What movie are you most excited to see?
