Each month, we look at the most popular series globally on Disney+, which is tracked daily on the trending list and considers how popular a show is and how long it has been popular on Disney+. This means that shows released earlier in the month tend to perform better on this chart.

Many more established series continue to be a huge draw internationally on Disney+, with mature shows from the Star hub such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Kardashians”, and “Family Guy” consistently being some of the most viewed shows on the platform, especially with new episodes being released weekly on the streaming platform.

Here’s the most popular series on Disney+ globally in July 2023:

1) Secret Invasion

Nick Fury and Talos discover a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. This brand-new Marvel Studios show unsurprisingly was the most watched show on Disney+ in July, while the show might not have pleased everyone, there is little doubt this was the biggest show of the month.

2) Bluey

Bluey is an inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler dog, who loves to play and turns everyday family life into extraordinary adventures, developing her imagination as well as her mental, physical and emotional resilience.  This series is a juggernaut for Disney+, as kids and parents love this show. Plus, some new episodes got added to Disney+ in early July, instantly boosting how much people watched this popular Australian show!

3) Grey’s Anatomy

Follows the personal and professional lives of a group of doctors at Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. This is one of the longest-running shows from ABC and is continuously a top trending show on Disney+ in many countries due to there being over 700 episodes, so it’s a perfect binge show to have in the background.

4) Modern Family

The Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan is a wonderfully large and blended family. They give us an honest and often hilarious look into the sometimes warm, sometimes twisted, embrace of the modern family.  A fantastic comedy series that I also completely binged through earlier this year!

5) The Simpsons

This classic animated sitcom is one of the most popular series on Disney+. It’s set in Springfield, the average American town. The show focuses on the antics and everyday adventures of the Simpson family; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, as well as a virtual cast of thousands. Since the beginning, the series has been a pop culture icon, attracting hundreds of celebrities to guest star. The show has also made a name for itself in its fearless satirical take on politics, media and American life in general.

There are 34 seasons of this long-running show, with over 700 episodes, making it another perfect binge show to watch on Disney+, plus.

6) Family Guy

Sick, twisted, politically incorrect and Freakin’ Sweet animated series featuring the adventures of the dysfunctional Griffin family. Bumbling Peter and long-suffering Lois have three kids. Stewie (a brilliant but sadistic baby bent on killing his mother and taking over the world), Meg (the oldest, and is the most unpopular girl in town) and Chris (the middle kid, he’s not very bright but has a passion for movies). The final member of the family is Brian – a talking dog and much more than a pet, he keeps Stewie in check whilst sipping Martinis and sorting through his own life issues. This is another extremely popular series internationally on Disney+, especially with brand-new episodes being released weekly in many countries.

7) Malcolm In The Middle

Malcolm, a 9-year-old kid who enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with best friend Stevie, has his life turned upside down when he is forced into the “gifted” class and finds himself surrounded by a group of talented outcasts. Since Malcolm’s favorite and oldest brother was sent away to military school, Malcolm must also cope with brothers Reese and Dewey. The boys’ parents Lois and Hal, struggle to keep it all together.

8) Gravity Falls

Twins Dipper and Mabel travel to the mysterious town of Gravity Falls in Oregon for their summer vacations but are shocked after they discover some strange occurrences.

9) The Kardashians

The family you know and love is here with a brand new series, giving an all-access pass into their lives. Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie bring the cameras back to reveal the truth behind the headlines. From the intense pressures of running billion-dollar businesses to the hilarious joys of playtime and school drop-offs, this series brings viewers into the fold with a rivetingly honest story of love & life in the spotlight.

With new episodes being released each Thursday throughout July, the show consistently becomes the most-watched show on Disney+ for a couple of days each week. It was also the most-watched show on Hulu in July.

10) Jessie

Jessie, a small-town girl from Texas, moves to New York City to pursue her dreams. However, her life takes a turn when she becomes a nanny to a high-profile couple’s four children. This Disney Channel series continues to pull in audiences years later.
